Just go in a bit ago from the Rangers game. Kind of an ugly 8-7 win, but a win nonetheless. Made even better by free tickets 24 rows behind home that I found out I got about 30 minutes before game time.

Meanwhile Heika goes off on the defense. Something that was actually the Stars strong suit last season. That strong suit hasn’t been on display in the preseason with 21 goals in 4 games. Thus, the Stars spent Sunday’s practice focusing on defensive situations to try to improve the team overall in this aspect.
Meanwhile, John Tranchina of dallasstars.com has a piece on Joel Lundqvist looking to have a larger role on the team this year. At this point, the Stars are mainly just looking for a larger contribution from wherever it’ll come from.
